Having amassed a total of $257 million in equity investment, this announcement solidifies Copado&#8217;s position as the leading Salesforce devops platform vendor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/copado-raises-140-million-series-c-round-to-expand-its-devops-platform-across-leading-enterprise-saas-clouds-approaches-1-2-billion-valuation-301374969.html\">press release<\/a>, the company said this investment represents a post-money valuation approaching $1.2 billion, which makes Copado one of the most valuable vendors in the Salesforce ecosystem. \u201cDevOps is the engine of digitalization. We believe in Copado&#8217;s ability to help companies achieve success in a multi-cloud world and are excited to be collaborating with its world-class team as they continue to deliver unparalleled value to their customers,\u201d said Nikitas Koutoupes, managing director at Insight Partners, who led this latest investment round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-lots-of-high-quality-investors\">Lots of High Quality Investors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Copado posted a $96 million Series B investment only 7 months ago on February 17, 2021. With today\u2019s equity investment <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insightpartners.com\/\">Insight Partners<\/a> continues to build up its formidable collection of Salesforce-related startups, which also includes <a href=\"https:\/\/origin.salesforcedevops.net\/index.php\/2021\/08\/10\/ownbackup-soars-with-240m-series-e-on-3-35b-valuation\/\">OwnBackup<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Japan-based <a href=\"https:\/\/visionfund.com\/\">SoftBank Vision Fund 2<\/a> is now on board, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/declarationpartners.com\/\">Declaration Partners<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dgventures.com\/en\/\">DG Ventures<\/a>. These are growth funds with plenty of \u201cdry powder,\u201d so a Series D round may be posted just as fast as this latest round.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A bunch of other existing venture and corporate investors are also in this round. The list includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/company\/ventures\/\">Salesforce Ventures<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3287836-1&amp;h=2528559500&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.capgemini.com%2Fnews%2Fcapgemini-and-isai-launch-of-a-fund-for-b2b-start-ups-and-scale-ups%2F&amp;a=ISAI+Cap+Venture\">ISAI Cap Venture<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leadedge.com\/\">Lead Edge Capital<\/a>, Perpetual Ventures, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibm.com\/innovation\/venture-development\">IBM Ventures<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-use-of-proceeds\">Use of Proceeds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Copado says they will use the new investment to expand into the Asia-Pacific region. They already have a strong presence in Europe, so this should give the company an even bigger global footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unlike OwnBackup, Copado didn\u2019t talk about doing acquisitions with this Series C announcement. Instead the company emphasized its multi-cloud strategy, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/origin.salesforcedevops.net\/index.php\/2021\/06\/15\/copado-goes-big-with-multi-cloud-in-summer-21-release\/\">announced earlier this year<\/a>. Also, the company emphasized building on the <a href=\"https:\/\/origin.salesforcedevops.net\/index.php\/2021\/03\/17\/copado-acquires-new-context-for-devsecops\/\">NewContext<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/origin.salesforcedevops.net\/index.php\/2021\/06\/29\/copado-adds-multi-cloud-testing-with-qentinel-acquisition\/\">Qentinel<\/a> acquisitions. The company said it plans on bringing more security and AI-enabled test automation to its platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-devops-builds-the-means-of-production\">Devops Builds The Means of Production<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the world continues to see Salesforce as an app delivery platform for digital transformation, the need for managing Salesforce app delivery is skyrocketing. There is clear evidence of big Salesforce customers finding value in Copado\u2019s Salesforce devops platform, as well as every other devops vendor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/origin.salesforcedevops.net\/index.php\/2021\/06\/21\/top-5-companies-leading-the-salesforce-devops-surge\/\">SalesforceDevops.net Top 5 Vendor<\/a> list.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is because devops now represents the technical and managerial skills required to make a digital transformation work.
