Salto is a metadata management tool, designed to help Salesforce admins deliver high quality changes, faster. By extracting the orgs metadata, translating it into a textual format and applying a user-friendly GUI on top, Salesforce admins can better understand and manage changes in their orgs, as well as to maintain a pipeline management process that includes testing, peer reviews and documentation of changes in their org.

If you ever had to run a change in a complex element like a flow or a user profile, you must know how hard it is to map all the elements that will be impacted. You also might be switching back and forth between applications to figure it out. Salto’s metadata visualization organizes fields and values in a logical way, so one can find what they’re looking for faster, and without moving back and forth in between tols. It also mapps relationships, so one can easily see where an element is being used and what are its child and parent dependencies, all in the same view. Static files’ content, if exists, is included in the element so you can explore them altogether.

Salto has a forever-free impact analysis plan that Include: “Where is this used” functionality for all standard and custom fields. Impact analysis for all metadata types. Full metadata search so you can find hardcoded values such as email addresses. Metadata monitoring, allowing one to set email or Slack notifications on changes in their org.

A full change management solution

Our Enterprise plan includes DevOps features such as – Compare any two orgs and see line-by-line differences. Align orgs to reduce failed deployments. Deploy multiple metadata items together, including FLS and CPQ data records, and compare the planned change with the target org in every step of the deployment process. Get alerts on missing references or errors. Leverage Git to track and document changes in your org and rollback to a previous version if needed.

Salesforce CPQ support – Salto treats Salesforce CPQ data as any other metadata type, hence one can find, explore and deploy CPQ data changes alongside any other metadata changes.
